1.What Occento is
Occento is a language-learning service that uses song excerpts as the starting point for lessons — you learn a real line from a song, understand what it means, and go from there.
2.Your account
To use Occento beyond the entry lesson, you create an account with e-mail (magic link, no password) or Google sign-in. You're responsible for keeping access to the e-mail or Google account used to sign up — that's where authentication happens.
Occento is intended for people 13 and older. We don't intentionally collect data from anyone under 13 and don't currently have a parental-consent flow — if we learn an account belongs to someone under that age, it will be closed.
3.Plans
Today Occento offers a free track with a fixed set of curated lessons. Individual learners can also buy prepaid credit packages, charged in Brazilian reais through a payment processor; purchased credits are spent on the product's paid generations and sessions. Organizations (schools, companies) can obtain credits for their learners through the B2B plan; the commercial terms of that plan are agreed separately with each organization and are not part of these general Terms.
You have a right of withdrawal: within 7 calendar days of a credit purchase being confirmed as paid, you can request a refund from the credits screen itself.
The refund is proportional to the credits from that purchase you haven't used yet, calculated at the price you paid for that specific purchase — the oldest credits in your balance are always treated as spent first, and whatever is left belongs to your most recent purchases. Credits you've already used are not refunded: the cost of generating that content is incurred at the moment of use and cannot be undone.
The refunded amount is returned through the same payment method you used to pay, within the timelines set by the payment processor and by your bank or card issuer.
Outside the withdrawal window, we always refund a duplicate charge, a billing error, and Occento shutting the service down (proportional to the credit balance left in your account); and we always return the credits for a generation that failed because of us. Purchased credits never expire.
If a credit purchase's payment is disputed with your bank or card issuer, the credits from that purchase still left in your balance are removed.
4.Lesson content and copyright
Lessons use short excerpts from third-party song lyrics for educational purposes. Occento does not hold the copyright to these songs.
5.Acceptable use
Don't use Occento to extract, redistribute, or republish lesson content outside the product. Don't try to access other people's accounts or bypass the authentication mechanisms.
6.Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts that violate the acceptable use above.
